Buying second-hand C.P. Company comes with one obvious question: which size should I get? The brand’s sizing is fairly consistent, but each type of garment and each era has its own cut. In this guide we explain how it usually fits and how to use measurements to get it right.
How C.P. Company sizes work
- Adult garments use letter sizes, usually from S to XXXL. Some models go up to 4XL.
- Some trousers may have a numeric size. In that case, focus on the waist measurement.
- Kids’ garments use age sizes.
Does C.P. Company run large or small?
In general, C.P. Company fits true to size: if you wear an M in most brands, an M will usually fit you too. There are some nuances:
- Sweatshirts and hoodies: regular cut, true to size.
- Jackets and coats: also true to size, but slightly more tailored. If you want to layer underneath, you can size up.
- Archive pieces: garments from other eras can have a very different pattern from today’s, so always check the measurements.
Which measurements to check
All of them are taken with the garment laid flat on a table, without stretching the fabric:

| Pit to pit | From seam to seam, just below the sleeves. The most important one for jackets and sweatshirts. |
| Length | From the highest point of the shoulder, next to the collar, to the hem. |
| Sleeve | From the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff. |
| Waist (trousers) | Side to side across the fastened waistband. Double it to get the full circumference. |
| Inside leg (trousers) | From the crotch to the hem, along the inside seam. |
How to compare with one of your garments
- Pick a garment of the same type that fits you well: a sweatshirt if you’re looking for a sweatshirt.
- Lay it flat on a table and measure pit to pit and the length.
- Compare with the measurements on the product page. A difference of 1 or 2 cm is hardly noticeable; from 3 or 4 cm, it is.
